A spring cleanup clears the winter out: fallen branches, matted leaves, last year's dead stems. A fall cleanup does the opposite job, getting leaves and debris off the lawn and beds before snow sits on top of them.
The work is simple to describe: weeds out of the flower beds, growth cut back along the fence, and the yard left orderly. Cleanups are usually one-time jobs, so they are an easy way to try us before deciding on regular maintenance.
What is included
- Clearing leaves, sticks and debris from lawn and beds
- Weeding flower beds
- Cutting back dead growth and overgrowth along fences and borders
- Hauling away what is collected

Timing
When cleanups happen
Spring cleanups start once the ground has thawed and is no longer soggy, usually April. Fall cleanups are best after most of the leaves are down, typically late October into November, with a second pass if the trees drop late.

Questions about seasonal cleanups
Should I clean up the yard before or after the leaves finish falling?
After most of them are down. A cleanup too early means the trees drop more on top of it. Heavy leaf cover left over winter smothers grass.
What happens to the debris?
Michigan keeps yard waste out of landfills, and each city has its own collection rules. We handle the hauling so you do not have to work out the schedule.
Do you do both the lawn and the beds?
Yes. A cleanup covers lawn areas and planting beds. Tell us about any areas that need extra attention, such as a fence line or a neglected corner.
